5 of 5 Fun to practise dolphin kicks on March 30, 2023
Reviewer: Andrew from Ottawa, ON Canada
It took about 2 one hour sessions to feel comfortable in the pool using these and now I bring them to every practice. I find more so than regular fins the design of the monofin forces you to use a full body wave push to swim, particularly underwater where the monofin excels. Unless you're really keen to improve your dolphin kick they're awkward to use on the surface, and seem slower than fins.  A small tip (from a complete novice) - begin using these with your arms trailing at your sides as opposed to held in front with linked hands. Linked hands goes faster but it's a less stable position and if you don't pay attention you can shoot off in any direction. If you can begin using these when there are fewer people in the pool. Swimming sideways or upside down under water is a challenging but really fun experience. You get a "fish eyes" view of the pool. I have size 8.5 feet and the medium size is comfortable.

5 of 5 Awesome monofin June 21, 2014
Reviewer: Sara from Regina, SK Canada
This was a bit pricey but it is very well made and the foot part is soft on your feet.  It takes some getting used to, keeping your feet together all the time but it feels great and the work out is great.  Very happy with it!
