The Size L vest had a great fit around my chest and shoulder area, comfortably snug but, as tight as it was, causing no discomfort (great for a triathlete) and plenty easy motion as I swam.
Unfortunately the lower half of the vest billowed outward so way too much cold water got inside, surrounding my belly and lower back -- resulting in no warmth, just feeling coldness of the water.
Swimmers with an athletic build (waist smaller than the chest/shoulders) should look for another manufacturer. That's unfortunate as the quality of the materials seems very good. I'd prefer the "euro-fit" not the billowy size of this vest.
