I've only had the opportunity to wear these a couple times, but they work and keep my hips in a position that allows my legs to stay in line with the rest of my body. If I raise my head too much, I still sink, but this is the support I need to keep swimming. Medium was a perfect size for me: 5'8" and 138lbs. They looked pretty small coming out of the box but it's a good snug fit that doesn't gape or take on water while swimming. Super happy so far!
